Finances

All activities of the organization are conducted using donations from members and well wishers. A current account is maintained at Standard Chartered Bank (Bambalapitiya) Account No.01-1098829-01. Cheques can be written in favour of the AWPA and crossed Account Payee only.
Our tills are available for cash donations at the following location:
• ODEL
• Abans
• Keells, Liberty Plaza & Crescat
• Rebel at Crescat
• Sponge Pastry Shop
• Both Shelters

We are grateful for the support of the above.

The AWPA is committed to keeping the combined cost of Fundraising and Administration to less than 15%. That is for every 100 rupees, 85 % is directly spent on the animals, mainly for food, supplies, and veterinary services.

In 2004, we spent less than 15 % on Fund raising and admin which in the non profit sector is regarded as best.
